Our Witney Choir re-starts for the Spring term on Tuesday 6th / Wednesday 7th January 2026
We have two Choirs –
Our Tuesday group and our Wednesday group.
Tuesday Singing Group
This group is for singers who are new to singing, or would like to brush up/return to singing.
It’s a supportive and encouraging group which sings modern, lively songs - and we have loads of fun while we do it.
For those who have never dared but would like to sing, we provide a safe space where you can join other terrified singers to ease your way into singing and discover your voice.
We will help you overcome your fears to sing with confidence.
Singing purely for pleasure, the group is for those who would like to just sing - and not be expected to perform
The group is for anyone who has little, or no, experience of singing in a group (or those who are a little 'rusty').
We will introduce you to some basic musical terms – time signatures, rhythms, singing in parts and vocal exercises. You will also build up a repertoire of modern, lively songs.
This group meets on Tuesdays, 7.30 – 9.00pm
Wednesday Singing Group
This group for experienced singers has approx 80 members and for that reason, we only accept new members to this group only if they have previous experience in singing in a group or choir.
Learning songs in this group is often fast-paced and we sing in parts/harmonies. This group often performs within our local community and beyond.
This group meets on Wednesdays, 7.30 – 9.00pm
Both groups meet at Henry Box School, Witney.
