Louise Conroy
B.Ed(Hons) English & Drama
SLE (Specialist Leader in Education) for Music
Louise has taught in primary schools in Oxfordshire for over 30 years, including Musical Director for many school productions. She has provided training for non-music specialist teachers for Oxfordshire’s County Music Service and led partnership school choirs across Oxfordshire, performing both regionally (Dorchester Abbey) and nationally (Wembley Arena).
Louise trained with The Association of British Choral Directors, tutored by Amy Bebbington and Sarah Tenant-Flowers.
In 2011, with husband, Brian, Louise created the ‘West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts’ (WOAPA) Adult Singing Group (now re-named ‘Witney Vocals’) and conducts over 100 singers each week.
In 2025, Louise formed a new pop-up choir: ‘Vocal In Your Local’, for which, she is the conductor.
Louise also teaches piano to both children and adults.
