Thom Conroy
(Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama)
Thom trained as a Multi Instrumentalist at the RWCMD for 6 years (2017-2023). He graduated with an MMus (Distinction) and received The Simon Clarkson Award, recognising him as the best all-round musician of the college.
Originally a ‘Cellist, in 2019, he became one of the few musicians in the College’s history to transfer from Strings to Woodwind mid-course. He now plays over 50 instruments, spanning Flutes, Clarinets, Saxophones, Double Reeds, Strings and Ethnic/World Instruments.
Thom works in the West End and for UK Touring Musical productions, as well as performing various Classical recitals, and is resident orchestrator for ‘Witney Vocals’ Choir in his hometown of Witney. He is also a visiting artist at Dawkes Music.
In 2023, Thom entertained aboard Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth II as a resident musician on her world tour of 18 countries. He now appears as a Guest Entertainer on cruise ships in his own headlining show. In 2025, Thom was ‘Reed 2’ for a six-month run of the new musical: ‘The Great Gatsby’ at the London Coliseum.
He has recently performed with the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra on their tour of the UK.
