Meet Witney Guitar Club Member - Ravindra - who has been with the club since September 2025.
What Instruments Do You Play?
Acoustic, Classical, Electric and Bass Guitars, Drums.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever attended?
In 1995, I attended a live concert by Gypsies in Sri Lanka. Gypsies is a famous Sri Lankan baila band that performs both Sinhala (my mother tongue) and English songs. They are my favorite band.
Have you ever played a live gig?
When I was 18 years old, I performed at a school concert in Sri Lanka. At the time, I only knew a few guitar chords, so we played songs that could be performed using just those simple chords.
Have you ever played a bad gig?
No, I haven’t yet.
Which artist/band/genre(s) do you like to listen to?
My favorite international artist is Bob Marley, and I enjoy reggae music. I also like blues. From my own country, I enjoy listening to Gypsies, Sri Lankan baila music, and Sinhala pop songs.
What music styles do you like to play?
Reggae, Baila, Pop, Blues .
What is your favourite Witney Guitar Club song that we play?
I'll Always remember us this way - Lady Gaga
What do you like most about The Witney Guitar Club?
A relaxed and fun way to grow musically and connect with others who enjoy making music.

Learn from a skilled and experienced teacher.
Tell us something about yourself that people may not know
I have some knowledge of automobiles and am good at handling small repairs on my cars.
Any plans for 2026?
To improve my knowledge of bass guitar.
