Music Theory for Guitar
Music Theory For Guitar
We recently held a 'Music Theory For Guitar' day for our Witney Guitar Club ...
It was amazing to see a group of guys arrive, with no music theory knowledge at all - and leave with the skills to be able to read music!
"The course was extremely well presented, with a logical progression throughout. I’ve always thought that reading music would be advantageous but never got around to it, this was a very friendly, no pressure day that provided a lot of very useful knowledge and tips.
If you’re attend this course you will surprise yourself with what you learn and how simple some of it really is, obviously practice makes perfect and this will give you the necessary tools to practice, and some music to practice with.
A great course well-run, but then we all know the effort that goes into the club so why would you expect anything less?
If you’re want to learn to read music, don’t miss this opportunity"

"Great opportunity to learn how to read music, really well broken down into simple steps. Great fun learning about the common terms in music. Great way to learn how to play simple melodies while reading from a real “staff” of music. A clear explanation of the basics then transformed into a real tune on the guitar".

"The session is very good start for anyone who wants to learn to read music for guitar. It also helps with understanding the fret board.
Face to face learning is the best for me. It was a great, friendly, environment and worth a go. Thanks again Brian!"

"It was good that we were all starting from the same base level. Having spent decades playing guitar I was very pleasantly surprised about some small but important things I discovered that will make my playing easier and more pleasurable.
Thank you Brian for the huge effort you put into the session".

"It seems as though we were all very much in the same boat, in as much as we all enjoy playing the guitar but although realising that it would be good to read music. Actually spending the time online or with books never appealed but sharing that learning with others was great and for me and I am sure the others also came away with a will to want to learn more".
